Figure 4

Changes in Average Annual Temperature in New England.

Click for long description

This figure illustrates three thermometers: the first for 2010-2039, the second for 20400-2069, and the third for 2070-2099. Under two separate scenarios (Higher emissions and Lower emissions) temperatures are predicted for the future. The first shows a small difference in temperature between the two scenarios. On the second thermometer, the Higher emissions range of predicted temperatures reaches up to a 7 degree change in average annual temperature in New England. The third thermometer (for 2070-2099) shows a large difference for Low versus High emission scenarios, and the Higher emissions range is from 7 to 12.5 degree changes.
