Kerry E. O'Hare

Kerry E. O'Hare joined the U.S. Department of Transportation in November 2005 and served two years as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Governmental Affairs and one year as an Assistant to the Secretary for Policy.

As Deputy Assistant Secretary, Kerry worked closely with governors, mayors, state legislators and county officials. She was also a member of the Secretary's special Congestion Action Team which oversaw the implementation of the Secretary's National Strategy to Reduce Congestion on America's Transportation Network.

Prior to joining USDOT, Kerry worked for New York Governor George E. Pataki as Deputy Director of the Governor's Washington, DC office. Born and raised on Long Island, Kerry also worked on Capitol Hill for U.S. Senator Alfonse D'Amato and Congressman Peter King who is currently the Ranking Member of the House Homeland Security Committee.
